Green Commitment · 00 / 07

Advice that starts with the field, not the sprayer.

Fertivero advises growers, and that carries responsibility. These commitments set out how we give advice, what we put on the shelf and how we treat what growers share with us.

We start from a simple idea: the best treatment is often the one a field does not need, so our advice follows that order.

Below are seven commitments, written plainly. Where work is still in development, we say so. Where a figure would help, we will measure first and report later, rather than quote numbers we cannot yet stand behind.

Seven commitments

01 / 07

Integrated Pest Management first

Our advice is built on the eight principles of integrated pest management in the EU's Directive 2009/128/EC, Annex III. We commit to putting prevention and monitoring first, and to recommending a treatment only when a pest, weed or disease passes a threshold.

Where a non-chemical option works, it comes first. When a product is needed, we point to a targeted one, at the minimum effective use, and we encourage growers to record the result.

  1. Monitor

We put prevention and monitoring first.

  2. Threshold

We recommend a treatment only when a pest, weed or disease passes a threshold.

  3. Act

Where a non-chemical option works, it comes first. When a product is needed, we point to a targeted one, at the minimum effective use.

02 / 07

Resistance management

Products lose their value when pests, diseases and weeds adapt to them. We commit to advising growers to rotate modes of action, using the international classifications: IRAC for insecticides, FRAC for fungicides and HRAC for herbicides.

Rotation is part of every spray programme we recommend, not an afterthought added at the end of the season.

03 / 07

Training before use

We commit to the use of every product at its labelled rate. Re-entry and pre-harvest intervals will be published with each product, and personal protective equipment guidance will appear in every advisory channel we run.

We are building a safe-use training programme so that dealers and applicators are trained before they sell or apply our products.

04 / 07

Empty containers

An empty container is not the end of a product's responsibility. We commit to showing growers how to triple-rinse containers, and to directing them to the national container collection scheme in each market, where one operates.

Where no scheme exists yet, we will say so honestly and give the best local guidance available.

05 / 07

Precision over blanket spraying

Treating a whole field when only part of it needs attention wastes product and effort.

Fertivero is building SCALE and FieldWise AI, both in development and designed to produce zone-level plans, so that treatment goes only where it is needed. We are also designing for drone application, where national rules allow.

Precision is the direction of our work, and we will describe each tool as available only once it is genuinely live.

06 / 07

Soil and biodiversity

Healthy soil and a living field margin are part of a productive farm. We commit to a portfolio led by crop nutrition and biostimulants, with protection products used as part of a wider plan and not as the starting point.

We will consider the effect on pollinators, water and soil life when we choose which products to bring to market.

Data stewardship

The farmer owns the field data. We use it to advise them, and we never sell it. That applies to anything a grower shares with us now or in future through SCALE and FieldWise AI.

We will say plainly what we collect and why, and a grower can ask what we hold.

We will measure first and report later — and when we report, we will show our working.
